Dagyang Sa Social Media Virtual Contest

Continue to be social on social media. Even if we are staying at home, we can still make the most out of this year through joining online contests. Iloilo Dinagyang is bringing the following promotions:

Patisoy ni Nonoy;
Merry Making it Real Time;
Kiay-Kiay sang Lin-ay; and
Going Back in Time Photo Contest

Patisoy ni Nonoy Guidelines

1. Open to all Ilonggos who have the passion in dancing Dinagyang warrior routines.
2. Applicants should be at least 18 years old.
3. A 1-minute Tiktok audition video using Hala Bira, Iloilo should be sent through the official email address of the committee.

4. Together with the audition video, a photo of the contestant should be submitted with a certification from the Punong Barangay of the barangay he/she comes from.
5. The ramp dance routine should depict a Dagyang sa Calle Real – appropriate movements and attire.
6. Submission of entries will be from DECEMBER 15 to 28, 2020 until 11:59 PM.
7. The committee will choose the Top 5 Finalists in case more than 5 entries are submitted.
8. The Top 5 Finalists will then be given a uniform music to practice on and a subsidy will be given to each finalist for the required costumes and accessories.
9. A day or days will be scheduled for the video shoot that will be shown on January 23, 2020 via IFFI’s official website with links to Facebook and YouTube during the Virtual showing of the event.
10. Cash prizes will be given to the winners and participants.

Merry Making it Real Time Guidelines

1. Open to all dance groups of a minimum of 6 to a maximum of 10 dancers.
2. Members could be all male/all female/mixed.
3. Members should be 18 years old and above. 4. A 2-minute and 30 seconds audition video should be sent through the official email address of the committee.

5. Together with the audition video, the group should email the names and a photo of each member with a certification from the Punong Barangay of the barangay they come from either in Iloilo City or Iloilo Province.
6. The choreography should depict Dinagyang dance steps and should observe social distancing with the music of their choice.
7. Submission of entries will be from DECEMBER 15 to 28, 2020 until 11:59 PM.
8. The committee will choose the Top 10 Finalists in case more than 10 entries are submitted.
9. The Top 10 Finalists will then be given a uniform dance routine and music.
10. A subsidy will be given to each finalist for the required costumes and accessories during the shoot.
11. A day or days will be scheduled for a dance shoot that will be shown on January 23, 2020 via IFFI’s official website with links to Facebook and YouTube during the Virtual showing of the event.
12. Cash prizes will be given to the winners and participants.

Kiay-Kiay sang Lin-ay Guidelines

1. Open to all Ilonggos/llonggas who have the passion in ramp modelling regardless of affection/sexual preference.
2. Applicants should be at least 18 years old.
3. A 1-minute Tiktok audition video using Magandang Dilag music should be sent through the official email address of the committee.

Together with the audition video, a photo of the contestant should be submitted with a certification from the Punong Barangay of the barangay he/she comes from.
5. The ramp modelling routine should depict a Dagyang sa Calle Real-appropriate movements and attire.
6. Submission of entries will be from DECEMBER 15 to 28, 2020 until 11:59 PM.
7. The committee will choose the Top 5 Finalists in case more than 5 entries are submitted.
8. The Top 5 Finalists will then be given a uniform music to practice on and a subsidy will be given to each finalist for the required costumes and accessories.

Going Back in Time Photo Contest Guidelines

Couples/Partner
1. Open to all Ilonggo couples, Ilonggo by heart, and most especially a Dinagyang Festival fanatic from around the world (Married, Engaged, Living Together, and All Affection-Preference) who have photos last January 25, 2020 for Dagyang sa Calle Real.
2. Photos should be sent to the official email address of the committee. The names of the couple/partners should be indicated.

The email should also contain:
a. Source of Photo
b. Present address of the joining entry
3. Aside from sending it through the committee’s official email, ALL ENTRIES SHOULD POST on Facebook and Instagram the photo and captioned with the official hashtag #dagyangcallereal and tag the Iloilo Dinagyang FB Page and Instagram Account. Failure to post will not qualify the entry to be screened.
4. The submitting couple/partner will also send back a signed written permission that allows IFFI and the committee to publicly show their photos.
5. Submission of entries will be from DECEMBER 15, 2020 to JANUARY 4, 2021 until 11:59 PM.
6. The committee will choose the Top 5 Finalists in case more than 5 entries are submitted and their photos will be shown on January 23, 2020 via IFFI’s official website with links to Facebook and YouTube during the Virtual showing of the event.
7. Cash prizes will be given to the winners and participants.

How to Join the 21-Day Dinagyang Art Challenge

1. Following each day’s prompt, create an artwork using any medium of your choice.
2. Post your artwork on IG or FB and make sure it is set to public.
3. Tag us @iloilodinagyang and use the hashtags #DinagyangArtChallenge and #DigitalDinagyang2021.
4. Artists that can complete all 21 days will be featured on our social media accounts and will receive prizes.

Pinta sa Kapiestahan: The 1st Dinagyang Mural Painting Competition

1. The competition shall be open to any interested groups. A maximum of 7 groups shall compete in the event.
2. Each group shall consist of not more than SEVEN (7) members and must be between the ages of 16-60 years old.
3. Each group shall represent ONE (1) of the seven districts of Iloilo City. The districts that they will represent will be chosen through drawing of lots.
4. Each group must submit a mini version of the mural using their preferred medium which must be submitted ONE (1) WEEK before the opening of the event. Each group is limited to submitting only one (1) entry.
5. The artwork shall adhere to the theme of the event, “ONE DINAGYANG, ONE ILOILO. HALAD KAY SEÑOR ST. NIÑO”.
6. The artwork shall also promote the districts that the groups represent.
7. The mural painting competition shall be held at Atria Park District-Iloilo City. Each group shall be given a designated or specific wall area where they can paint their mural.
8. The participants are given SEVEN (7) days to finish their mural painting. The painting shall begin after the opening ceremony of the event on January 10, 2021 and will end before the start of the culminating activity on January 17, 2021.
9. Participants shall use *Latex/* Davies paint for their mural painting. Participants should bring their own painting materials as well as their own ladders or platforms.
10. Participants shall work on their painting during mall hours of Atria Park District-Iloilo City or from 9:00 am to 8:00 pm.
11. The criteria for judging shall be as follows:
a. Creativity, Presentation and Vibrancy of Design 30%
b. Originality of Content 30%
c. Relevance to the theme 20%
d. Message of the artwork 15%
e. Relevance to the represented district 5%
Total: 100%
12. Entries that do not follow the guidelines can be disqualified.
13. The decision of the judges is final and irrevocable.

1st Iloilo Dinagyang Landmark Competition

Dinagyang Poster Making Contest

Mechanics

1. This contest is open to all non-professional artist who are residents of Iloilo City.
2. The poster should illustrate and emphasize the theme “One Dinagyang, One Iloilo, Halad kay Sr. Sto. Niño”
3. The poster will be made on a 30″x40″ illustration board (1/2 size) which the participants will provide. Participants are free to choose which side of the board to utilize; however, the poster should be in a vertical format.
4. Below is a list of allowed materials in making the poster. Using other materials aside from the ones listed below is strictly prohibited and a ground for disqualification. The participants are responsible for their own materials.
• Oil pastel
• Watercolor
• Markers
• Colored pencils
• Highlighter
• Acrylic paint
• Mixed media
5. Participants should attach a caption to thier submitted entries briefly explaining the elements of the poster in relation to the theme: “One Dinagyang, One Iloilo, Halad kay Sr. Sto. Niño”
6. A. Entries must be submitted on or before January 23, 2021 via the Johnny Young Official Facebook account, together with complete Name, Address, email address and contact number.
B. The actual poster must be submitted at Petron ,Lapaz(the one in front of Lapaz Market,beside Jolibee)or at the office of the SK Federation President,6th floor,The New Iloilo City Hall on or before January 23,2021.
7. 20 finalists will be chosen from all entries and will be posted on January 24, 2021 via the Johnny Young Official Facebook Page. The 20 finalist will also be notified via the submitted Contact number, Messenger or email address.
8. The poster exhibit of the 20 finalists will be on January 26, 2021 at SM City Iloilo to be followed by an awarding ceremony .

Application for Events Accreditation for Dinagyang 2021

1. Submit a Letter of Intent addressed to the President of Iloilo Festivals Foundation, Inc., Atty. Jobert Peñaflorida at [email protected] or deliver to the office of IFFl at the Ground Floor, Ker Building Annex, Iloilo City Hall Complex.
2. Attach the rationale and details of the event with the letter.
3. Include your health and security protocols, highlighting your COVID-19 preventive measures. All events must secure a permit to conduct activities from the Mayor’s Office. All other related offices required by the Iloilo City Government before any approval shall be made.
4. Kindly prepare for an Accreditation Fee with a minimum of Php 5,000 subject to the approval of the Board of Trustees of IFFI.
